So i've used YAMS (https://yams.media) to install Jellyfin recently after having issues with <app we don't talk about - TDP> etc.

Everything has been working fine and i've added a few family members as users.
They all use it through a TV/fire stick and use tailscale to remote connect.
I've noticed that if one of them is watching something if i look at the dashboard what it shows as them watching changes (it flicks between 2 different shows).
This problem also translates into Jellystat (i realise it may not have anything to do with you) where it incorrectly reports what they are watching - it also shows they've "watched" a show like 100 times because it flickers.
Spoken to them and they say the film randomly starts and stops.

https://pastebin.com/gNZUYRta - this is the last hour or so of the logs.
Everything is being played directly but could it be a transcoding issue?
I dont have transcoding on - i only have an old xeon and it's a little slow, but I could look to buy something to help with this.

    Any thoughts?

Are you using a reverse proxy in addition to tailscale? Is your tailscale network P2P or spoke and hub?

Yes I believe so - I use Caddy.
As for tailscale network type I have no idea, how can I tell?

Can you share your caddyfile? Censor the domain.

The default is P2P, IIRC. If you didn't change it, it should be P2P.

I've removed the cloudflare token thing and the directory.

there are also other entries for jellystat etc but they all follow the exact same premise!

What is the point of the cloudflare section? Is that for wildcard certs?

And are you using Cloudflare for DNS only? Or do you have proxying enabled?

    Happy new year mate.
cloudflare is just https certs for all subdomains.
I’m pretty sure proxying isn’t enable.
I’m not sure it is this though as I’ve had it set up for one family member for a while and it’s never done it for them before?

In the cloudflare dashboard, is your domain set to "DNS only"?

Can you share the output of this command? Replace the address with your domain and then censor your domain and IP when you share the output. Assuming the IP is your home IP and not cloudflare's.

    Code:
    curl -vvv https://jellyfin.domain.tld
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB

Yes the Domain is set to "DNS only"
When i try it i get * could not resolve host: jellyfin.***.***
I've checked the analytics on cloudflare to see if it has been queried and i can see that it has but nowhere near as often as my other ones.
