I played with the settings in my server dashboard, and stored my media picture with the media folder. A day later - Gack! I hate that!

So, I went back through all 28 libraries and unchecked that option. Everything I read suggested that "there was a setting" in the dashboard that reloaded metadata, but I couildn't find it, so I waited a few days.

Nothing happened. None of my media had pictures anymore.

I've manually updated the library. No result. Jiggled some more stuff, and eventually a couple pictures showed up - literally a fraction of a percent.

Clearly I'm not doing something right. How do I get Jellyfin to autoupdate these metadata pics?

    TIA.

You have to rescan the individual libraries and select "find missing metadata" and check the box "replace all images".

Thanks! Admin profile, Libraries, right-click individual libraries, etc. Rinse & repeat 28 times.

    But it worked!

    ...NOPE! It did NOT work.

It just put the pictures back into the Media folders, where I had asked it not to.
