Generate Trickplay when media is added through API?

I have trickplay enable and I have the option enabled to create the trickplay on library scan. When a video is added from something like {software we don't talk about} it sends an API call to scan the new media that was added, but it doesn't create the trickplay then and I have to go manually run the trickplay creation. Is there something else I need to do to get the trickplay created when something is added?

Jellyfin lets you schedule a trickplay generation task. Just go to your dashboard and make it so it runs on a periodic basis.
It will generate trickplays on all items that yet don't have them on all enabled libraries.
