Hello, I've been struggling to get my metadata for Naruto working properly. Season 1 works perfectly, but Seasons 2-5 simply display the filename.

My structure is set up like this:

    -Naruto
    --Season 01
    --- Naruto - S01E01.mkv
    --- Naruto - S01E02.mkv
    --- ...
    -- Season 02
    --- Naruto - S02E01.mkv
    --- Naruto - S02E02.mkv
    --- ...

What could causing this to work only for one season? Thanks in advance Smiling-face

What metadata provider(s) do you have set for the library?

If you're using AniDB or AniList, both only support a single season and treat each season as a different show.

Switch to TMDB as your primary provider and it should work then.

In the library config TMDB and TOMD are the only ones enabled, am I looking in the wrong place?

Also make sure that TMDB and OMDB are at the top of the list. With TMDB being first. Yes, this makes a difference even though it shouldn't.

Regarding that, do you have the AniDB plugin installed? And is AniDB higher up on the list of providers even if it isn't enabled?

I don't have AniDB or any other plugins downloaded, and TMDB is first in the list followed only by OMDB

Attached is a screenshot of my library's metadata setup, but I believe it's as you say it should be

You need to match their naming scheme: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/46260/seas...uage=en-US
First episode for season 2 starts at episode 53.

    -Naruto
    --Season 01
    --- Naruto - S01E01.mkv
    --- Naruto - S01E02.mkv
    --- ...
    --- Naruto - S01E52.mkv
    -- Season 02
    --- Naruto - S02E53.mkv
    --- Naruto - S02E54.mkv
    --- ...
    --- Naruto - S02E184.mkv

It looks like some weeb decided that the episode numbers for the aired order use absolute numbers even though it also has a season number.

    https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/46260/seas...uage=en-US

There is a "corrected" aired order, but Jellyfin does not currently have a mechanism to select a different order of the same type.

    @theguymadmax beat me to it.

Thanks everyone, managed to get it all working Smiling-face

Turns out the problem was twofold; I needed the absolute episode numbers, but my source had also split the show into 5 seasons instead of 4 so I needed to move things around a bit.
