I don't have that problem on mine. Perhaps the newsletter DB got corrupted or is in an otherwise bad state?
You can try submitting an issue to the plugin developer (remember, this is a 3rd party plugin), but it looks like Cloud9 has been inactive for a while. https://github.com/Cloud9Developer/Jelly...gin/issues You can try this fork. https://github.com/SebastienFouchard/Jel...ter-Plugin With this plugin manifest. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Sebast...ifest.json

Hi
I can't seem to get this to work at all. I am using gmail, SMTP config is smtp.gmail.com Port 587 I have created a new gmail address and have a 16 character App Password named Jellyfin Newsletter, which I have entered into the SMTP Password field Pressing the test button does not send an email to the address I have specified. Any ideas? Thanks
OK it is working now. I had not put anything in the HTML format field as it says it defaults to a predefined template. But if that is empty, it does not send the test email.
Now it is sending if it's empty. OK confused now, but at least it's working. Thanks

One thing I learned using this plugin, your folder structure and file naming needs to tightly conform to our documentation. Particularly with shows.

I have only been able to try it on a few tv episodes and one movie so far as there is no way to do a preview. The TV shows are displaying perfectly in the email. Th movie is missing it's poster image though. It's Ice age and in an Ice age collection folder. Would this be the reason?

It sounds like you have Ice Age in a nested folder, which is not a supported folder organization unless the collection folder is itself a library root folder.
This goes back to what I mentioned earlier. Your folder structure needs to strictly follow our documentation when using the Newletter plugin. Otherwise it will either not properly reference an image for the email or, for shows, incorrectly write out what episodes and seasons are new.

Thank DreadPirate. I thought that was probably the case.
I have 2 folders for movies. Movies and Movies2 and they are both in a single Jellyfin Movies library. I ended up having to split my movies over 2 folders as they are backed up to 2 separate servers due to storage limitations on my backup servers. Movies gets backed up to Server1 and Movies2 gets backed up to Server2. For this to work for movie collections, would I need separate Jellyfin Libraries for each of these movie folders? So for the example of Ice Age, I have Movies > Ice Age Collection > Ice Age (2002) I than also have as an example Movies2 > Mr. Bean Collection > Bean (1997) So my only option is to put all of these movies back into a single folder rather than the current 2 Movies folders, or create a library for each folder? When it comes to TV seasons do they have to be named Season 01, or is Season 1 acceptable? I have just noticed with True detective, this is displayed in the email True Detective Duration: 58 min. | 8.5 | UK:18 | 2014 Season: 0 - Eps. 1 - 6 Season: 2 - Eps. 1-3,7 An American anthology police detective series utilizing multiple timelines in which investigations seem to unearth personal and professional secrets of those involved, both within or outside the law. Season 2 is correct, but Season 0, should be Season 4 Thanks again |
