    Hi,
I am running Jellyfin 10.10.6 on a QNAP NAS. For this I use the QNAP app from pdulvp/jellyfin-qnap.
Since yesterday I am no longer able to log in to the server with the official Android TV app version 0.16.11. I have not made any changes to the Jellyfin server in the last few days. The error occurs regardless of the device. I have used an Nvidia ShieldPro, a FireTV Stick and a China Android Box. The app always shows "No connection to server possible". However, the admin dashboard of the server shows a successful connection attempt. If I use the latest version of the TV app, the connection works without any problems. I then tried an even older version of the app (0.16.0), which causes the same error. With an old installation on the Android TV Box, I could still watch videos with a logged-in 0.16.11 app, but a new log in was not possible here either.
I would like to continue using the Jellyfin 0.16.11 app as I need LibVLC. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed?

Edit: Started another Server instance using Windows... same result.

    You have two options:

    1. Install an old version of the Jellyfin server compatible with the last release of the ATV version you want to use. And never upgrade the Jellyfin server again. And also don't upgrade any of the clients that work with the old server version as newer client versions may/will not work with old servers.

    2. Update your ATV app so that it's compatible with the newer server versions.

You should be seeing an error/warning message indicating as such. Newer server versions do not work with older ATV versions.

The old version of the ATV app (.16.11) is incompatible with the new server version. To make it work, you would need to downgrade your server, though I'm not sure which version that would be—possibly something like 10.9.X. However, I do not recommend this approach. Instead, I suggest installing VLC player and using it as an external media player with the current version.

Thank you for your replies. Maybe external VLC is the was to go for me.
