Jellyfin Apple TV 5.1 Audio

Hi All,

I'm currently running Jellyfin on a Raspberry PI 4, and have the Jellyfin app running on my Apple TV 4K.  My Apple TV 4K is connected to my LG TV via HDMI (along with my other components), with the LG connected to my Marantz receiver via HDMI.  

All 5.1 content I've ever played on my Apple TV has sounded great, however when playing a movie that supports 5.1 via Jellyfin, while the sound is clear, and the Marantz says its playing Dolby Digital, it doesn't seem to be playing it in 5.1 - all audio is simply coming through the 2 front channels.  I keep my receiver's sound mode on AUTO which has always seemed to work fine (I did try manually changing to different sound modes but it made no difference).

I was just wondering if anyone might have any advice on this (I've only been playing with Jellyfin for a few days now).  Is it a limitation of the PI, or maybe an issue with the content I'm playing?  I've checked the settings in the Jellyfin app on the Apple TV but there doesn't seem to be any settings to play with regarding audio settings.

Any ideas/advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like my issue is exclusive to the apple tv.  Running the same content on the webOS JellyFin client plays the audio fine....

I'm having the same issue. Audio is playing only on the front speakers but also left is louder as right channel. When I choose the 2.0 audio stream, it plays correctly.

Just found out that when I use the experimental player 5.1 audio is ok.
