Sounds like an update to 10.11 may fix the DB issue since there's a migration process. Waiting to see if recommending one of the release candidates is advisable. I know that RC3 was released recently, so that may be a good bet since the alternatives are "start over" or "wait for 10.11 general release".

There are still many bugs being ironed out in 10.11. We are still a couple of releases from the final build. I would wait until RC4 comes out before trying an upgrade. RC3 has been pretty buggy. And when/if you upgrade, make sure to read the release notes and make a backup.

Is this an issue with NVIDIA cards in particular? Would I see more success if I reconfigured to use QuickSync again?
