I’ve run into an issue with Jellyfin when using the "Include Only Tags" setting on a user profile. The setup is straightforward: the user is restricted by include-tags, with "Minimum Allowed Parental Rating" left blank, and they have access to the correct libraries.

The behavior is inconsistent. Some movies with the proper tag appear normally in the user’s "Movies" library list, but other movies with the same correct tagging do not show up there. These missing titles still appear in the "Recently Added" feed (or when you manually search of a title) and play fine if launched from that feed, which shows the user does have access to them. The problem is specifically in the main library browse view, where they are absent.

I’ve confirmed that the tags are applied correctly at the item level, the libraries are properly enabled for the user, and no parental rating restrictions are interfering. Refreshing metadata and running a full library scan do not resolve the issue.

This suggests that Jellyfin may be applying tag filters differently in the library query compared to how it applies them in feeds like "Recently Added," leading to inconsistent visibility.
Has anyone else run into this, and is it a known bug? Is there a reliable workaround, or should I be approaching filtering differently?

    Thanks!

This seems like a known issue with 10.10.7. I recently tested out only/blocked tags on the next major release (10.11) and know they are working. You might just have to wait until 10.11, which is currently in the RC phase, is released.

Ah ok. Phew. I was going nuts troubleshooting, metadata refresh rabbit holes, etc. I'll wait for the final release. Annoying but not urgent. Thanks for the bug validation!
