I am running the official Jellyfin docker container on Unraid.  I have mapped and configured my TV shows and Movies folders and JellyFin is indexing these with no problems.  I am trying to create collections to group Movies but they are not working.  I have ~25 Abbott and Costello Movies that I am trying to add to an Abbott and Costello Collection.  The Movies all show in the Movies list correctly.  If I select one and select add to Collection it prompts me to create a new collection which I do and it creates the collection with the selected Movie in it.  If I select the next Movie and select add to collection it only gives the New Collection option, I don't see the collection created with the first Movie.  If I select the 'Select' option one one of the movies I can select the others and add them all to a collection, but if I need to add a movie to this collection it doesn't work.  Am I missing something here, or is there a setting I need to change?  I am working under the default admin account and have checked that the user is allowed to manage collections

Should actually be a drop down list so you can select tohe other collections to add it to?

    Hi SethBacon

That was my understanding of how it should work from reading the documentation.  IT appears this list isn't populating, please see the screenshot below, the collection can be seen in the background on the left with a '2' in the top corner but my list doesn't have any collections showing

When you add to collection the box where it says new it a drop-down box that will list all the collections you have created and are in your library. You can scroll down or start typing the name and it should come up.

You can also add multiple items to a collection by holding down on the first and all the movies will get a blue outline with a box in the corner you can check to add to your next action of selecting which collection. The top right coner shows the number of itmes currently selected and the X there is how you cancel.

And totally not to be insulting, but after you name the new collection youre pressing save at the bottom not the arrow at the top to exit the dialogue? And then you Can see the new collection in your collection library?

When I try to add to a collection the drop down box is empty. If I go to my Collections tab then it shows empty. I can add a collection and it seems to create it but then when I click back to the Movies tab and then back to collections the collection is not showing there. It seems like it isn't saving, do I need to add a path or the like in the Docker settings? I have Config mapped to a folder that I have RW access to

Does sound like maybe you aren't saving the new collection each time you "create" it. You have to click the blue OK button at the bottom of the collection add page when you add anything to any collection, new or already existing.

    Hi both

I have tried again, definitely clicking ok at the bottom of the screen when creating a collection.  This takes me into a page that details the collection but there are no contents in it.
If I then click the Movies link at the top of the page and then go to collections again it is blank.

I am stumped. Sorry I can't offer any other ideas.
