In Nginx, do you have caching enabled?

Block Common Exploits and Websockets are fine to have enabled.  Websockets, in particular, is required.  Caching was the only option I was concerned about.

I am assuming you are using Nginx Proxy Manager and not vanilla Nginx.

Hear me out. I was in the same shoe for the past 2 years trying to figure out what the issue was and how to fix it. I've invested too much resources already (time and money) building myself a media server and it was driving me crazy when I could not even play a movie without it stuttering. I mean, I've tried different ways like trying out a different ISP, VPN, different device, different media file type, etc. You name it, I have probably tried it.

I don't think there is an issue with your hardware to be honest. Heck, I have my Jellyfin running on a Synology NAS and I can stream 3 4k movies remotely simultaneously without any issues issues.

The thing that solved my issue is by using WARP 1111. I am not endrosing it in anyway, I am sharing this basing on my experience.
Just try it out and see how it goes. Make sure when playing a media, you select the highest bitrate to ensure your media is being directly played not transcoded.

If i were to guess, when you attempt to access a media remotely, it's going through a lot of network hops causing these playback stutters (unlike Netflix and other streaming platforms - they've probably figured it out having everything optimized). WARP probably reduces the number of hops ensuring a pleasure and smooth watching experience.

    Good luck mate.

FYI, it is free app, although It offers a paid subscription (WARP+). Tried both, and I think free is more than enough.
