iOS App Playback Error

I have been using jellyfin for over a year now and am loving it.
I am encountering an issue (most often with iOS app), I can not explain.

Server v10.10.7
Running in a Proxmox LXC
Intel i3-12100 with integrated graphics for transcoding
media is stored on a samba share, host by unraid
Metadata and Jellyfin in general are stored on an nvme

Problem looks as following:

• Media can be streamed normally
  
• Suddenly, without any noticable reason, the playback stops, no skipping forward or backward is possible
  
• Screen looks like the attached picture
  
• Exit to the main screen is possible
  
• every new attempt to play any media fails with a playback error
  
• only a restart of server and client seem to fix the problem
