How big is the library.db file in size?  My library is quite big (mostly movies, i only have about 360 shows) the library size is 652MB and i've never had a problem.

right now i have it rebuilding the db so we're at almost 600mb, the previous db file was 860+mb, i remember the 86 i do not remember the 3rd #, will update post once library is fully accounted for, but i know for factuals i have 6145 movies, 1603 documentaries, 283 anime movies, 678 stand-up movies, 230 anime series, 1189 tv shows, 289 docu series, 17 stand up series (somewhere in my jellyfin journey i lost about 2tb of data, the categories hit the hardest were my plays, which got completely wiped out, my anime movies, docu series & stand-up series)

    update:
    anime series: 228
    anime movies: 283
    TV series: 1100
    movies: 6140
    docuseries: 289
    documentaries: 1603
    stand-up series: 17
    stand-up movies: 678

    library.db size: 894.2mb

there's still about 5 libraries I haven't added in yet as I keep having issues with the 8 I have so far which leads me to believe it may just be the sheer # of files as it always glitches out as I start adding in more media in the 8 existing libraries, again the first sign of this is that the TV series category completely disappears from the recently added home page list as if the category doesn't exist, although you can actually go into into it and click suggestions and it will show what was just recently added.

You could try the current release candidate for 10.11 as that has some database changes and maybe the issue is fixed in that version? If it's not i might try and simulate having that many tv shows and see if i can get it to "bug" out once the next release drops.

I just loaded in some new content and can 100% confirm there is an issue with the tv category at least in my situation, movies loaded in fine, anime series & docu series loaded in fine and it also picked up the TV series episodes for the series that it already has indexed but I also added in a totally new show and no matter how I scan the library it just will not scrape/capture the new show so it may be an issue with just the sheer # of files, I'll give 10.11 a try here shortly and report back with findings.

sidenote: after first scan the library.db file was 894mb, after correcting some tv shows, it had the shows but the Metadata on some of the episodes wasn't loading and it would appear as if the episode was missing but it would show in the recently released, after updating Metadata the episode would appear in the season as normal. but I also noticed the file size of library.db dropped by almost 30mb to 866mb, it is now currently sitting at 885mb, not sure what caused that fluctuation.

    update:

    ran dnf remove jellyfin

went with the generic Linux tarball (this should be the default install BTW, SO easy and I could literally run jellyfin from any drive of my choice) and so far it's still indexing, it was cool to see the difference in how it scraped files and Metadata, I've attached an image of the library so far, I have 6 categories loaded with 6 more still to add, will report back in the next day or 2 with findings
