android client will not connect to jellyfin server

my jellyfin server is working fine.


the only thing not working, android jellyfin client cannot connect to jellyfin server.
however, jellyfin client on windows is working fine.

the linux server     = "version 10.10.7"
the android clients = "version 2.6.3"

i tried two android devices, in both cases, jellyfin clients will not connect to jellyfin server.
the error is "connection cannot be established"
* pixel 6a        = android 16
* lenovo tablet = android 10

the url for jellyfin web interface = https://redacted.ein.itsby.design/redacted/jellyfin/web

the following is working:

* web access on android,  using firefox
* web access on windows, using firefox

* jellyfin client on windows 11

so the only thing not working, android jellyfin client connecting to jellyfin server
