    Hi all,
I have setup Jellyfin server on Ubuntu 22.04. The setup went ok and it seems to be running ok.
I have added movies etc and I can watch them.
But I cannot watch any TV shows.
I have a HDHomeRun on the network and it is setup under the Live TV settings.
It shows the HDHomeRun Ok and I also loaded the EPG.
The EPG seems to work well as I can see the list of programs etc...

But when I click any TV program to watch - I just get a spinning wheel.
The Transcoding is set to None.
Not sure what else to look for.
I have looked through the logs but they look ok to me.

    Any ideas ?
Really want to use this product as it looks good.

Can you replicate the problem then share your server logs with us? Redact any WAN IPs and then upload the log to pastebin or sourcebin.

Hi, I did a complete removal and reinstall of Jellyfin and got the same results.
I have added the last part of the logs which I think covers the error as pastbin seems to have a limit on the size you can post.
After installing and replicating the error, there are only two logs.
Here is the last part of each log file.

Both of your logs are pending moderation. Try uploading again?

Pastebin. The first two links to pastebin are pending moderation for some reason.

In the network dashboard in Jellyfin, add "192.168.20.0/24" to the LAN networks setting. I'm not sure that is the root, but your tuner timed out. I'm wondering if because it wasn't in a subnet that wasn't configured to be considered internal.

    Hi, thanks for your help.
I tried adding the network addresses but still the same.
I ended up using another computer and and a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04.
Then installed Jellyfin and the same result.
I tested it from another client and anohter browser but still just shows a spinning wheel.

    Any other ideas ?
struggling to see how this one fails and others have it working on the same ubuntu 22.40.

    I should also add,
on the same computer - I installed Plex and it works ok.
So it is getting the TV data from the same HDHomeRun and it works ok.

    From Jellyfin's documentation

Quote:Live TV devices will often use a random UDP port for HDHomeRun devices. The server will select an unused port on startup to connect to these tuner devices.

Try explicitly allowing your TV tuner in Ubuntu's firewall.

    Code:
sudo ufw allow <insert tuner IP>
