I've got Jellyfin 10.10.7 server running on my Windows PC with a collection of MP4's recorded by PlayOn that have embedded subtitles.
The subtitles have all been extracted to .srt files by Jellyfin using the Subtitle Extract plugin or are auto extracted as each new video is recorded.
I watch videos from this collection on my Roku using the Jellyfin app 3.0.10.
After I select the video I want to watch and it displays the metadata info screen, if I want to see the subtitles I first have to select Options, and then under the Subtitles tab I have to select English - Default - MOV_TEXT. Then I can back up and select Play to play the video with subtitles.
I have to do this every time I start the Roku Jellyfin app. It doesn't remember that I want the subtitles always on, and defaults to None.
In the Browser Jellyfin app on the PC, I have my user settings under 'Subtitles | Subtitle Mode' set to Always Play. On the Roku app, I don't find a similar setting like this but I though it would apply to all apps using my user name.
Am I missing some way to make the Roku Jellyfin app always default to displaying subtitles unless I specifically turn them off?
