    Hello!

    I have problem with subtitles.

Setup: LXC container using proxmox - https://tteck.github.io/Proxmox/
    Jellyfin version: 10.8.10
TV Show file mkv with subtitles included.
    Player - AndroidTV, webbrowser

    Whats the problem?

First of all i have problem with load subtitles. When I try to do it there is an error message that subtitles cannot be loaded without any info in log about that (or maybe i dont know how to look into it). After restart jellyfin subtitles can be loaded. After proper subtitles load, there is another problem that subs are working for some time like 20min, 15 min or so. Problem exists on android TV and by webbrowser aswell. The same file with vlc player on windows are working great and shows missing subs correctly without any problem.

I tried to change videoplayer on android TV to vlc but i have another problem like video ratio is broken (big black bars on top and bottom and film and video is flattened) and i have white subtitles instead of yellow. What is interesting - subtitles are working nice in this setup besides the ratio and white subs. if u knwo the solution to fix these 2 errors - give me a tip.

Is any disadventages of using vlc instead of ExoPlayer?

and some offtop: if someone can show me how to setup jellyfin to load polish subtitles everytime i launch film/tv shows (if they are included) or download it with opensubtitles(addon is configured) and load i will be greateful. It looks like i need to choise it manually all the time.

Thank you in advance, i will provide any info u want Smiling-face

Can you share your jellyfin and ffmpeg logs with us? Upload them to pastebin and share the link here.

The server logs look fine. Almost certainly a client side problem since the subs are SRT. The subs should be streamed as a track to the client.

Try setting the client preference to auto instead of selecting vlc?

I selected auto and now i cant even load subtitles on android tv. Restart jellyfin is fixing that issue but we are back to situation where after some minutes subs are not showing up Confused-face
