So I recently migrated my movies and tvshows successfully from Kodi, at least I was able to get all my watched status, resume positions and basic artwork working in the Jellyfin UI.
I did this by exporting to many many sidecar files (that is *.nfo and various *-thumb.jpg type files).
Now, I want to clean up by deleting these files and instead use some sort of internal Jellyfin database.
Is there a way to do this?
3 reasons for this:
- I don't want all these junk files hanging around.
- I don't want to grant Jellyfin access to write to my media.
- I want to be able to back up Jellyfin state by just tarring my Jellyfin container volumes and not have to reach in and pick through my media folders.
