I have been trying to solve this issue that I have been having with my server for weeks, and it is driving me insane at this point. Would really love if someone could help!
I recently set up my server a few weeks ago for the first time, and I am playing my media on my TV through my 4k Firestick. However, certain files have an error where the movie will freeze on a frame and a popup will show that says "playback error encountered: will re-try". I then have to back out of the movie/show and resume playing, just for it to do the same thing a few minutes later. At first I noticed a pattern of the issue happening on files that were H264, but then when I tried some files that were HEVC, the issue happened randomly as well. However, some files play perfectly with no issues whatsoever.
I have read numerous forum posts that tell me to use the external player (VLC), or switch the audio output to "Direct', or to use the Kodi plugin, yet nothing has fixed this frustrating problem. I am extremely new to Jellyfin, so I am not sure if this is an easy fix that I am overlooking, or a deeper problem that is being caused by me.
I had some free time this morning to do some testing to trigger the issue, and put the log here (https://pastebin.com/GhLE4V8i)
Any help would be sincerely appreciated!
Not entirely sure what info is needed to help me solve this, but I think this info might be necessary:
Device Model: Amazon AFTKRT
Jellyfin app Version: Jellyfin-androidtv 0.18.11
