Not sure if I don't understand how Jellyfin works for music or if I'm doing something wrong, but is there a way to completely ignore the embedded metadata?

I have music with bad embedded tags (bad album name, text in release year, etc). I CANNOT change the embedded metadata, so fixing the embedded metadata is not a solution.
I have set up Jellyfin to use MusicBrainz as the only DB. It looks like Jellyfin successfully identifies each album, but then just uses the embedded metadata anyways. This does not seem like correct behavior to me. The MusicBrainz release and release-group IDs are correct, so I don't understand why none of the metadata is getting pulled.

Additionally, Jellyfin seems to be unable to pull the release date from MusicBrainz properly. It is often the correct year but the day and month are set to 1. Other times the release data just gets set to 1/1/1901, even though it identified the album correctly and MusicBrainz has a proper release date listed.

Is there a fix for either issue? Or is this how Jellyfin is supposed to work?

    Example album with issues:
