For reference, my JF server runs in a container on the same server that my Plex container runs on. In the configuration, they both have read-only access to the exact same NFS export. So basically we are all playing the exact same file on the exact same hardware.
The JF client on my Roku absolutely constantly turns on the closed captioning on the Roku. Like, 95% of the time. And, now I have a file that shows CC's on JF event with them turned off and the CC option in the video set to "None". And when I play the exact same file in Plex - no closed captions.
This is driving me nuts and I've gone to great lengths to curate my media catalog so that we don't need CC except for foreign films. So it really spoils the movie going experience when JF plays the file and we have to guess whether its going to play it in English or not (another super annoying thing that I'll save for another thread), and whether we are going to have to stop and reset all the CC options. We're even fairly confident that we have seen it turn CC back on mid-way through a movie.
Any thoughts or advice?
