Still on 10.9.7 untill all the 10.11 stuff gets sorted but having a new issue with collections. Added Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning to my MI collection multiple times. It shows up properly in the collection XML file but it never shows up displayed in the actual collection. No idea why. All the other films, soundtracks and series do. But this one just won't. Any ideas what might be happening? There is nothing fancy or different about the file location, format or naming than anything else in my library. All very starndard stuff. I am confuessed.

This item also won't appear added to other collections, like the Christopher McQuarrie onw. Still puzzled.

    Here are some possibilities:

The ':' is, I believe, a bad character. I would simply remove it from the folder, file and metadata.

Do you have 2+ movies in the Mission Impossible folder? Sometimes JF won't create a collection until there is more than 1 title in it.

Check your metadata to make sure there aren't any fields filled in that should not be filled in and lock the metadata after fixing if this is the case. I find that minimalism works best with JF.

Sometimes you have to wait over night for JF to catch up. Weirdly, sometimes it makes changes instantly. I can't find a rhyme or reason although it does seem to be faster since I properly titled all of my source media and rebuilt the db from scratch.

There is no colon ni the filename. The file is named exactly like all the other MI films, outside of the subtitile. The NFO file has all correct information, no open or incorect lines and works fine in Kodi. I don't use auto collection methods as they don't function as I'd like so it's all manual entries. The soundtrack for the film adds to the connection with no issues. And the filename and path is added to the collection XML each time I try. Same goes for any other collection I attempt to add this one movie into. I have removed/deleted the coolection and re-added it and still the same result. I have refreshed metadata for the movie and entire library and still the same result.

Now memory is reminding me I had a similar issue with The Empire Strikes Back when I first started using JF collections and I had to alter the file name in order to get it to work which throws my ADHD into fits. That is what I just tried now and it works. Changing the filename back then doesn't. Frustrating
