    Hello everyone,

I'm running on Windows and everything was working fine until I upgraded to 10.11.5 yesterday. I have a folder We'll call it

"!Movies" with the paths "D:\Movies" and  "J:\Movies"

Movies in that folder are added to collections and I can go into that collection and see the movies and play the movies, no issue, but when I go into the "!Movies" folder in Jellyfin, it no longer shows me any content and just keeps scanning endlessly.

In testing... I created a NEW folder called "!Movies2" with the same paths. The same issue occurs.

I then removed the path "D:\Movies" and tried it... same issue. I then re-added  "D:\Movies" and removed  "J:\Movies" and it actually worked.

Does anyone have any idea why the "J:\Movies" path has suddenly become an issue and how I can fix it?

    Thank you.

**UPDATE** --- The "!Movies" folder is mixed... movies and shows. I created a new directory with the same paths and made the content movies only and it worked so the issue seems to be with setting the content to Mixed... but I need it to be mixed so I can I resolve this? Thank you again.

Well... no replies. I fixed the issue. No idea what caused it so can't stop it from happening again and the fix makes no sense at all, but it worked so I'm happy for now.

It's because Jellyfin doesn't handle mixed media very well or at all anymore. Just tag your torrents so they go to a movies folder and a shows folder. Those folders can be cluster fucks, but have to be shows only or movies only. Honestly subfolders don't really matter as much as there's no naming conflicts.
