Edit Reason: Adding log file
)
As I'm upgrading my home server, I figured I should check out Jellyfin as a Plex-replacement - and it seems like a good fit, except that I can't get Chromecast working, either from Chrome on my PC or the Jellyfin app on my Android phone.
I'm sure I've missed some step somewhere, but after many retries I'm out of ideas...
I'm running Jellyfin 10.8.10, installed through Docker on an Ubuntu 22.04.02 LTS server.
It's accessed through an nginx reverse proxy running on the same server, set up with the config file from the Jellyfin docs.
(The URL, jellyfin.example.com, is publicly accessible, and I've used a similar setup to access Plex for Chromecast before.)
I've tried both using the Nginx reverse proxy to handle SSL/HTTPS, as well as configuring Jellyfin to handle the SSL/HTTPS.
I've added my proxy to the "Known proxies" setting, but that doesn't seem to have any effect.
And I've verified that I can cast using YouTube / other apps from these devices
edit: I can't seem to attach the log file, so here's a pastebin link.
