Server becomes unresponsive

I wanted to update everyone. I went ahead and plugged my external HDD into a powered USB hub and I have not had a issue since. I don't know why but my external hdd was plugged into my USB 3.0 port along with the external power supply but for whatever reason, it was not receiving enough power. It was not mounting and unmounting and when I ran fsck, no errors were reported back. I"m going to keep an eye on it to make sure there are no other issues but it seems to have fixed the issue.
