However, my smarttv is on the guest network and cannot access it (neither can my browser when I connect my laptop to the guest network for testing). Many guest networks have you on your own, isolated segment that only routes to the internet, no access to local networks and some even block you from accessing other devices on the guest network. Depending on the router make and model, there may be options to adjust this security. Check the manual on your router to see the options.
