    Quadro P400 codec support

Despite NVIDIA's claim of no HEVC 4:4:4 support, some files play and transcode fine. Any explanations?

Hey everyone! I recently acquired a Quadro P400 for transcoding with Jellyfin, and it's been performing exceptionally well. According to NVIDIA's website, the card doesn't support HEVC 4:4:4 codec. Intrigued by this, I used a program called "mediainfo" to identify any unsupported files. Surprisingly, some files that should be unsupported played and transcoded perfectly fine. I'm not complaining, but I'm curious about why this is the case. If anyone has insights or explanations, I'd love to hear them!

btw I wanted to ask this on the subreddit, but it's closed Confused-face
