I haven't utilized Android Auto with Jellyfin, but I do have it all set up to do so. I prefer to use Symfonium as a playback client, as it is a FULL-FEATURED, customizable music playback client with advanced features like smart playlists.
I will see if I can get Jellyfin + Android Auto working and report back. Might be a few days, but I think I have time today to at least get the setup done and might be able to test if I need to run out for errands. I'll keep you posted unless I see somebody else jump in.
For starters, it would be good for you to reproduce the issue and locate the logs for when it happens, then share those here via pastebin or another similar site (please don't post your raw logs in a message, they're very hard to parse this way). If there is transcoding involved, make sure to grab the relevant ffmpeg log as well. You can find those either via Dashboard > Logs or in the log directory set up when you installed (see: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/admini...-directory).
