Hello,
I got jellyfin installed as an LXC container, and with my igpu, I finally have hardware encoding working! I have an HDHomeRun and using intel_gpu_top I can see ffmpeg using the hardware encoder when I'm watching livetv. CPU usage is about 10%, which is fantastic.
So I added in some media files. I've tried HVEC and H265 1080 and 720p files. When playing these media files, the hardware encoder does not kick in and I get 50-80% CPU utilization by FFMPEG. Is there any way to use the hardware features of the igpu to reduce CPU usage? I have several other VMs running on proxmox and don't want to impact their performance.
Any ideas or assistance if very much appreciated!
