You need to be the one to select shows/movies in your libraries and put them into collections (if you want them).
The setting that you're looking at is for when you're browsing a movie library. By default, the movie library will show each movie separately regardless of collections. If you enable the setting you're looking at, the movie library page will instead display collections mixed in with the other singular movies. Basically, show collections or not in the movie libraries that you have.
To manually add to a collection, you just right-click on any movie or show, then select the "add to collection" button.
You have to search online for existing collection metadata sources. Check out: https://www.themoviedb.org/
If you search themoviedb, there's a tab to the side that displays existing collections that match your search.
Ah, I see.
I do seem to have some already pre-filling, is there some type of sync that happens through those metadata providers?
Or it could be coming in from some other software I use to sync data to Jellyfin.
That said, there's no automated way of adding to collections?
I do see this plugin that I'll research if not.

Thanks!
Edit: It seemingly also created a new Library? Collections is now appearing next to my other libraries. It also displays as something I would need to give permissions and allow others to access? Why isn't this just metadata?
I'm guessing this happened by enabling that checkbox, but I wouldn't expect a new library to need to be created.
