Upgrading JF server in Windows without the installer exe?

I want to upgrade from 10.8.10 installed via exe

Hi all, newbie here who has a server install on windows 10 x64. I installed version 10.8.10 using the Windows installer exe and want to upgrade to 10.9.7 but cannot find any guide to go from exe installed version to the latest stable with no exe. Any help or nudges would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
