lookup metadata with modified file name?

is it possible to perform metadata lookup not with the original filename, but a modified file name?

Ok, I was afraid of that. This "filename translation" may be a useful extension, as said, KODI has such a feature.

Maybe adding a file link with short name would be a solution too? I will test...
