main reason is that i'm a clown. I already regret choosing trueNAS. If I get some time, I will probably change the whole setup and use a linux distro since I'm more familiar with it linux. When I picked trueNAS Core, I thought it was very "on rails" kind of, where "nothing can go wrong" with a gui etc. that was very silly of me.
Also I have figured out a bit more. apparently the latest jellyfin version for trueNAS Core isn't compatible with the latest stable version of jails. I'm switching to the unstable branch now and updating. I'll then upgrade the jellyfin jail to a beta version and hope that it works. If not, I will have to come up with a different idea.
