I've been doing some research on media servers for a few weeks and feel pretty comfortable about buying pretty new parts that will scale will with new codecs, but i'm not sure if my build is balanced to start with.
5600 ryzen
intel a380
msi MPG B550 super gaming plus
18TB iron wolf HDD
mid tower with 10 HDD bays
650w psu
16gb 3200 ddr4 ram
Building for a media server is just a new experience for me, so I'm not really sure if I balanced the PC out well. Goal is to run a headless server running some instance of unraid or jellyfin.
