    Hello,

I am curious about remuxing MKV to MP4 -- is this done in order to maintain the ability to play Dolby Vision? I have found that Emby does not remux in this way, and all of my MKV Dolby Vision titles only play in HDR.
It looks like they are worried that LG users without DV might have an issue if this remux happens, but would it just play the MP4 normally?

Jellyfin does this in a way that works great, and I'm curious on the design behind it, and if this was set up for this specific purpose, or more.

Anyone with general insight on if this is why the remux was set up, and playing Dolby Vision on LG TVs in general.

    Thanks for any input.
