I would also add, that re-encoding audio tracks to eAC3 helps reduce Audio Transcoding for clients. Also, you can add additional audio tracks for other clients in handbrake.

I prefer using IntelQuickSync for the encoding, much faster and of your using 7th Gen and above, it looks great. I'm getting between 9g and 22g for 4k rips.
