If you have files you need to share with another user/process, it should never be from your home directory. Your home directory has very restrictive permissions that should not be opened up.
And the JMP SNAP folder is not a valid location either due to how SNAPs are sandboxed.
Move your videos/music to something like /media (create a sub folder in there). That directory is meant to be used for shared files.
