I'll try rolling them back or trying a third party player for now. just trying to avoid having to configure user friendly kodi setups on multiple nvidia shields and other players in the home.
I moved my local clients from Plex to Jellyfin a few months back after not trying JF for a few years. it's come a LONG way and I am very happy with it, but I do consider the removal of LibVLC a regression without a replacement in place for it.
I've tried MXplayer and VLC as external players, but they both have issues related to framerate matching and audio passthrough so they are both out, have not tried MPV yet.
I'd happily donate to get a replacement for libvlc up and running.
No word on when development is estimated to start/finish, but the main dev behind ATV has stated that he plans to work on this in the future.
