I'm currently putting both Movies and Show in a Mixed Library, which seems to be working for films, but not series. I've also tried moving these series to a Shows specific library and that also doesn't work.
I'm re-encoding all my files with the exact same Handbrake custom preset and have not had any issues so far, with the exception of these two shows.
The only major difference I can notice is that these two shows have TrueHD audio, so unless Jellyfin is currently unable to reproduce this codec, I'm at a lost and I don't know what else I can do/try.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Since you're re-encoding already (I'm assuming you're using handbrake), it should make it work to transcode the TrueHD streams to E-AC with a really high bitrate so that you can retain most of the quality of the TrueHD. I have been doing this for DTS-MA tracks on movies because my Samsung TV (Jellyfin Tizen client) and Soundbar will not pass thru or play DTS but it will definitely do TrueHD 7.1 when the original track is that. And for whatever reason transcoding from DTS-MA 7.1 to TrueHD 5.1 in handbrake just makes my setup freeze and never play the movie, therefore I just do E-AC and pick 6000+ ish bitrate with 5.1 surround when I have a DTS-MA track. I'm not sure if it's a handbrake issue or a jellyfin issue.
This solution however does not fix the TrueHD 2.0 bug that seems to be present but should make it work for now.
