Collections - Any Better Ways?

I'll add more musing on this topic here.

Having a file in the Program Data, like the XML file, and a much simpler method of storing information for each entry, like collection name and title/sorttitle, would allow users to share collections with other users so long as their library names and titles are the same. So if my friend and I both have a Movies library and our Titles are the same, I can share my MCU collection with him and it will just... work!

That is what I do with Kodi smart playlists. Since they just look at the type of media and have various variables for specific entries, even if it's just by title/sorttile everything just works.

And I keep mentioning sorttitle because there will be multiple collections where entries will have titles that won't belong in those collections.
