1) By default direct playback events don't leave a trace in the log, unfortunately. If it were attempting to transcode, there should be an ffmpeg command in the log and and an ffmpeg log in addition to the main log in the dashboard.
2) Personally I use the dedicated music client Finamp (https://github.com/jmshrv/finamp) for music playback on android, it has a lot of nice features for music playback. That wouldn't answer your question as to which tracks, but it might make it irrelevant.
3) The timestamps in the log are based on whatever the locale of your server is set to.
