port 8096 is not a https port. It is plain http. I know it retries various addresses, http and https, port 8096 and 8920, etc., but let's try manually typing in the correct address from the get go.

For the record, 0.17.6 of our Android TV app now REQUIRES 10.9.11. Which it sounds like you did, but the log would reveal if something went wrong with the upgrade.
