Swiftfin IOS Subtitles

Swiftfin IOS not displaying subtitles when chosen. I can see the subtitles when pressing the button, but when I select it it closes the menu and don't appear. When I go back to the menu it still displays it as unchosen. The subtitles are downloaded from opensubtitles.com and when I open them in Jellyfin IOS it works and also works in VLC and Jellyfin media player, both on my laptop.
