I am using the docker version of jellyfin.
Firstly, I set up 2 folders in the root “/data” directory. One is named “Movies” and the other is named “Shows”.
I created 2 separate libraries.
1. Movies, with the library property set to Movies. It points to the “Movies” folder. The naming of each individual movie folder and file in it also follows the naming convention: Film name (year)[tmdbid-XXXX].
2. Shows, library property set to Shows. points to the “Shows” folder. Each Shows file in there also follows the naming convention.
What I'm experiencing is that
A. On the home page of jellyfin, it identifies my entire Movies folder as a Shows, scrapes the data to a Korean TV show, and identifies each individual film folder inside as a ‘Season’. Film files are identified as ‘episodes’.
B. On the home page of jellyfin, the entire shows folder is recognised as a TV show called Your Show of Shows 1950 - 1954. The files for each individual episode inside are identified as ‘seasons’.
C. When I click into my Movies library, it is empty.
