Hi everyone! I'm planning to set up a Jellyfin server for about 50 users (mostly friends and family) and am considering this configuration:
    • Server Model: Dell PowerEdge R6515
    • CPU: AMD EPYC 7402P
    • RAM: 64GB ECC DDR4
    • Storage: 2x 480GB SSDs with a RAID controller
    • Network: 1 Gbps (50TB transfer)
The cost is around €101.99/mo (ex VAT). My main question is: How many simultaneous 1080p transcodes could this server handle? Also, do you think this setup is overkill, or could I find a more cost-effective alternative that still meets my needs? Looking forward to your advice on potential cheaper options with a good balance of performance and value.
    Thanks in advance!
