I would also like to put my 2 cents in.
While I am new to this forum, I have been using Jellyfin for several years without much issue. Recently, however, I too have noticed that Chrome and chromium-based browsers like Brave are no longer allowing any media playback on either the local network or remotely. Firefox has no such issues. I do not think this has anything to do with Jellyfin at all. I think it is all down to something being changed in chromium, which is then being down-streamed to all chromium-based browsers.
What I do find interesting is, on the machine that hosts my Jellyfin install, Chrome and Brave play media without issue. But this is likely because it is directly from the server.
