UPDATE | SOLVED
I realized that my public domain IP provided by my ISP had changed in the middle of the night. I changed the external IP address in the DDNS setting to the new one and everything works, it was a very minor thing. For any other noob looking for answers, when setting up the DDNS make sure to set it as Auto so that it will automatically find the current external IP address
