I have a series I'm trying to add to Jellyfin, but the episode numbers are not being correctly detected from the filename.
The path for the series is set up correctly as far as I can tell. Currently the format is "Series Name/Season 1/S01E123 - Name of Episode.mp4". Sometimes episodes in this folder get correctly numbered, or sometimes they're given what seems to be a random number.
You can see this one is detected correctly:
While this one is not:
Here is an example of the naming scheme in NCDU:
It's even giving episodes in the same season the same episode number
Despite having the same name format. Does anyone have an idea of why this might be? Here are some logs I think are relevant.
The only other thing I can think of is that the series in TVDB is not complete - there are only 28 or so episodes listed. But it doesn't seem to be in relation to what is or isnt on TVDB, so I'm not sure.
Edit: I just noticed that it stopped working at 256? Does jellyfin have a 256 episode limite per season or something like that? I can still manually set the episode numbers correctly > 256 tho
