tailscale and netbird both work well now - as long as i don't turn on the vpn.
i read a few how-tos on setting up wireguard on ubuntu server 22.04.5 and other devices (phones, tablets, etc.).
doesn't look too hard and it would be nice not to use a third party such as tailscale. do you have a how-to online that you recommend?
i also read through the instructions provide by chatgpt. all looks doable - but don't have a test machine at the moment.
