Just tried Jellyfin and it is a wonderful project. I love the interface on my Android TV's app, and the dolby vision support, but for high resolution audio streams like trueHD passthrough, if on a PC/Mac (or rack server with HDMI), why not just allow Jellyfin to bitstream a copy the audio out of the server's local HDMI port to the Atmos receiver as a "2nd stream" during playback to the TV app?
This could be a simple checkbox in the audio settings, and then we can mute the TV and enjoy trueHD that isn't being stripped by our Android TV's eARC, while also retaining the experience of the pure app compared to another streambox.
